This property in Hornchurch was scheduled for new window installations. Jason, the homeowner, contacted us to determine the most suitable rendering system for his property. After evaluating the requirements, we recommended the Baumit Silicone Render system, known for its ability to be applied over both solid painted render and brickwork, offering durability and a high-quality finish.
Preparation was key to ensuring a successful project. Before erecting the scaffolding, we laid protective coverings over the driveway to prevent any damage. Once the scaffolding was in place, our team began the rendering process with meticulous attention to detail.
All new windows were carefully protected, along with tiled roof areas, and downpipes were temporarily removed to enable a clean and precise application. We then moved on to fixing the beads, creating a solid framework for the rendering process.
The next stage involved applying the Baumit basecoats, tailored to the property’s surfaces. For the painted render, we used MC55, and for the brickwork, we applied KZP. These are our trusted products, offering excellent adhesion and long-term performance. Additionally, fibreglass reinforcement mesh was embedded into the basecoat to enhance structural integrity and minimise the risk of cracking over time.
For the final touch, we applied a 1mm grain Silicone Render, achieving the subtle and refined finish that Jason desired. This system not only provided aesthetic appeal but also ensured lasting durability and weather resistance.
